The Smith Falls Railway Museum is a non-profit organization working to preserve railway heritage in Eastern Ontario. This blog is used by the Work Group volunteers to report on their restoration projects.
Allen and I got three quarters of the spiking done so the track leading to the restoration is near completion. About a half day left before it is done. Some Joint bars, spiking and we will be running the trailer and handcar to the end. I am looking at adding more spikes and replacing some ties to reinforce the whole thing but that can run parallel with adding track and as men and manpower becomes available.
The question of as switch or moving the rail is now on the plate.
